This is a topic I relate to on a personal level; always feeling awkward when you step outside and see people all jolly and merry with their friends, talking, playing and having fun together, sometimes you begin to ask yourself if there is something fundamentally wrong with you if there is something lacking in you, something you’re missing or you just want more meaningful friends. In whichever case, your worries are about to come to an end, I’m so sure about this because I too was an extreme asocial person, if there were degrees given for being an introvert, I think I got it all even to the Ph.D. level
Never-the-less, this is a Disclaimer: a wise man once said, “you’re the architect of your own destiny”, it is important to note that the piece of information I’ve given here is to assist you, I’m only giving the guidelines, you must do the work
So, back to where we stopped
Sometimes in order to deal with challenges in our lives, it is important for us to fully consider what is ailing us. Every illness has its own separate cure, no matter how closely related they may seem, it is, therefore, paramount for you to know exactly what’s wrong or isn’t wrong with you
The issue here being Friendship is indeed a very needful and in fact indispensable aspect of life with unlimited usefulness. They say money can’t buy real friends, that is true. So, who can be considered a friend, with whom can you start to build a friendSHIP
Someone once said “what is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies”, this is particularly true, because without this union and oneness in reasoning and pattern of action all the fun and usefulness won’t be there, obviously, right?
Friends are those with whom we go through life
There is totally no need to change who you are in order to get a friend, there is no need to change your dressing, the only thing that you have to change is your mind-set
Pardon me, but I have to quote another wise man who said “a friend is nothing but a known enemy”, the notion that a friend has to be GOOD or CLASSY or “this or that” is probably the very reason most people find it hard to make one.
You have to come to terms with the fact that we are all humans, which means we cant be nice to everyone and neither can we possibly be mean to everyone, not even Hitler was that mean
The trick to having a friend is walking across the streets with your head held up high(unless the sun is too hot) and always wearing a smile, a friend would seamlessly come into your life
All you have to do is to show your genuine interest in the persons’ well being.
You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in youDALE CARNEGIE
Strong bonds develop with time
when you come across people with similar interests or have a common problem or task, do well to be nice by exchanging pleasantries. when shearing ideas try respecting the other person’s opinion no matter how absurd. friends are never won by arguments.
the most important thing to take care of is you, with constant self-development, you’ll find people flocking to be friends with you, however the choice of who and how close you want any friendship to be lies solely in your hand
Be nice, be awesome and enjoy your life
For further study and to aid you I suggest you check out the book “How to win friends and influence people” by Dale Carnegie
NOTE: You don’t have to go searching for friends, remember, you and your friends have to be compatible in some way, and the only way to know what you shear in common is when you start doing those things that you would love and that they love( a compatible friend would fit in naturally)
Friendship happens naturally. Just keep doing what you love, as a matter of fact, I have come to realize that the more you are obsessed with something you love, the more the people who love that thing would want to stick closer to you. Your task is simply to show your interest
You can show interest by complimenting, helping out, etcetera.
