We hope you’ve been well.
I’m writing this letter on behalf of Pawns. We know you’ve been asking life’s big questions: What is my purpose? How do I become a better version of myself? What truly matters?
And we think this makes you a perfect fit for our community, called the Be Better Community. Because, just like you, we’re obsessed with being better, living out our full potential, living life to the fullest.
We don’t claim to have all the answers. But to us, five core areas matter most: finding meaning and direction in life, building health and strength in our body, developing clarity and curiosity in our mind, creating real connection and belonging in our relationships, and cultivating awareness and resilience in our emotions.
And we believe something else, too: we don’t have to figure things out alone.
The journey of self-improvement was never meant to be solitary. We’re wired for community. To share our struggles. To learn from others. To grow together.
That’s what this is.
When it comes to growth, we believe it happens when you approach it with practicality. When it’s grounded in evidence. When communication is clear and honest. When it respects human dignity. And when it’s done with humility.
That’s the foundation here. And we trust it resonates with how you think.
We’ve often found ourselves opposed to people who feel the need to always be right, always on top, always glorified. It’s worse when they reject evidence in favour of feelings or superstitions.
We intentionally made the community private, outside of social media, because we can’t stand people who feel the need to raise their voice, insult others, or intimidate them to make a point.
Though, of course, we welcome contrarian ideas backed by solid evidence. Rebellious stances that challenge normalised wrongs. Fringe perspectives that dismantle comfortable lies. Harsh truths that liberate minds.
As long as you criticise the idea, not the person.
When you join us, you’ll be stepping into a space where people actually care about growth.
You’ll meet people who inspire you to be better. People who broaden your perspective, challenge your thinking, hold you accountable, and genuinely support your journey.
In our community, we have live calls and conversations every month. These aren’t lectures. They’re discussions about real problems members are facing. Sometimes we bring in someone with deep expertise for a focused Q&A.
You’ll get a welcome ebook when you join, plus access to our NeedleStack.
We run challenges throughout the year, including reading, writing, exercise, relationships, and habit-building. Things that move you forward.
We even organise in-person meetups when possible.
And we’ve built in real accountability structures. You can partner with someone who commits to checking in on specific goals. There’s a space to make public commitments and report back.
As much as we’re all about growth, we also have a failure-friendly culture here. In fact, we believe that success is about failing forward. So don’t be surprised when members discuss their setbacks, not just their wins.
You’ll earn badged recognition through meaningful participation and contribution.
We believe you’ve read this far because you’re questioning things. Maybe you’ve realised you need structure and clarity, not more noise. Maybe you sense you’re capable of more, but don’t quite know where to start or how to keep going.
You’re not oblivious to the need to grow. You’re genuinely curious. Willing to be wrong. Ready to do the work.
And so we invite you officially. If all of this resonates with you, click the button below to join us.
We look forward to having you with us.
Sincerely,
Dick David

“You cannot be around people who are moving and not wish to move.” — Patricia, Trevor Noah’s mother
- We support your growth across five areas: building meaning and purpose, strengthening your physical health, sharpening your mind, deepening your relationships, and developing emotional resilience.
- We’re not a religious or political group. We respect individuals while challenging ideas and beliefs—including religious and political ones. If questioning beliefs feels offensive rather than productive, this may not be your community.
- You can ask questions, share ideas, or start thoughtful discussions anytime, but you must stay respectful within the community.
- Pawns will never ask you to pay into a personal account. Only make payments through our official website (www.pawns.com.ng) or to Pawns Digital Agency‘s account.
- Writing is at the heart of our culture — journaling, group conversations, and blog posts all help us think deeply and grow clearly.
- Don’t compare yourself to others. Everyone’s growth looks different.
- Be cautious. Not everyone here will be personally known to us. Avoid sharing sensitive details or sending money to anyone claiming to represent Pawns.
- Stay active. The more you show up and participate, the more benefits you derive from being a part of the community.
